King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has hired dispute resolution lawyer Amanda Lees as a partner in its Singapore office. She joined from Simmons & Simmons in Singapore, where she was a partner for almost three years.
Lees specialises in cross-border dispute resolution through international arbitration, litigation, and mediation in the Asia-Pacific region. She is currently a director of the Singapore branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and has experience in commercial and investment treaty arbitration.
KWM’s global chief executive in Hong Kong, Sue Kench, said that Lees’ appointment was the latest chapter in the firm’s global strategy to support their clients across the region and beyond.
“Amanda will play a key role in further developing the firm’s Southeast Asia presence,” said Kench, “in particular our dispute resolution and international arbitration practice focused on trade and investment disputes in and out of China, Australia, South and Southeast Asia.”
