Kim Lu, Nie Jingxiang and Song Heng have joined DOCVIT Law Firm as partners, expanding the teams at the Beijing and Tianjin offices.

Lu, who will work from the Beijing office, was formerly a partner at Chang Tsi & Partners. He has a patent attorney qualification, with expertise in litigation, disputes and re-examinations, applications, and authorisation and confirmation of IPs.

His clients include Alibaba, Baidu, Air China, Dell, SanDisk, etc. He has assisted patent applications in China for American multinational corporation Qualcomm and Netherlands GPS device company TomTom.

As a partner based in the Tianjin office, Nie focuses on construction, civil and commercial affairs dispute resolutions and criminal law. He counsels on risk control and compliance system construction for corporations and the government. He previously worked for Jishui Law Firm and served as a law consultant in the Tianjin Hebei District Approval Bureau.

Song is a management and operations partner working from the Beijing office. He was the director of business development at Jotai Law Firm and provided strategic planning and product research for more than 60 law firms for legal media organisations.
