Former Trilegal counsel Prateek Desai joins Khaitan & Co as a partner in the corporate and commercial (debt) practice group at the firm’s Noida office.

Desai advises clients in various sectors including oil and gas, real estate, pharmaceuticals, technology, financial services, specialty chemicals, power, transportation and infrastructure.
“My areas of specialisation are banking, finance and private credit, and I regularly advise Indian corporates, credit funds, financial sponsors, multinational banks, and multilateral financial institutions in their structured credit transactions,” he added.
During the past decade, Desai has been associated with Deutsche Bank as a secondee, a managing associate at Talwar Thakore & Associates, and as an associate with AZB & Partners and Wadia Ghandy & Co.
India Business Law Journal recognised Desai as one of the 50 Future Legal Leaders of 2022.
