Amar Raj Lall, the founding partner of Lall Lahiri & Salhotra passed away on 6 September.
“If my father is to be remembered, it is not just as a legal luminary, but more so as a human being par excellence,” said Lall’s son, Chander Lall, the managing partner of Lall & Sethi. “I have rarely seen another human being with the same benevolence as my father. He was generous not just with his money, but also his knowledge.”
Chander began his career in law under his father’s pupillage and worked on the Whirlpool trademark case, which established the law in India on transborder reputation.
