Indian Law Partners (ILP) advised Japan’s Chiyoda Corporation on its exit from an engineering services 50:50 joint venture with L&T, which purchased its partner’s stake for USD10 million.

ILP advised Chiyoda on the Indian law aspects of the deal, led by partners Gopika Pant and Vineet Gupta.

The ILP team was assisted by counsel Nishant Kulhari, and senior associates Akshay Grover and Shradha Sharma, as well as associate Vinayek Mehra.

Mori Hamada & Matsumoto’s Japan and Singapore offices acted as international counsel for Chiyoda.

The L&T Chiyoda (LTC) joint venture provides engineering services for the hydrocarbon industry to support L&T’s engineering, procurement and construction business in both the domestic and international market.
