Hylands Law Firm has hired two partners Li Xiaobing and Ma Lifeng for the Beijing office to boost dispute resolution, banking and finance as well as the intellectual property practice.
Li, who formerly practised at Upright Law Firm, has 20 years’ experience in dispute resolution, specialising in banking and finance, real estate and construction. He has acted as counsel to many financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies and trusts, as well as construction companies.
Ma specialises in civil and commercial dispute resolution related to equity, IP and unfair competition, and also can advise on corporate governance.
Before joining Hylands, Ma was a judge at the Dongcheng District People’s Court of Beijing and then hopped to SK Hynix, the world’s third-largest semiconductor company, as a legal manager. She has handled SK Hynix’s insurer subrogation dispute, the largest insurance claim in China to date.
