Hughes Hubbard adds Ho Yichin as China practice co-chair

Ho Yichin joins Hughes Hubbard & Reed as a partner in the litigation and arbitration practices in the firm’s Los Angeles office and will also be China practice co-chair with Christine Kang. Ho and Kang will also guide the firm’s expansion in the region as co-chairs of the Asia Practice Development arm.

For the past two decades, Ho has litigated commercial disputes at all stages including arbitrations, mediations, court and jury trials, and appeals in federal and state courts throughout the country. She also has extensive experience in dealing with antitrust and trade regulation, white collar and government investigations, securities fraud and investigations, and class actions, intellectual property, and other complex business litigation.

Ho has a genuine interest in the Chinese legal market and has represented mainland and Taiwan companies based in the United States and abroad in various sectors, including automotive, technology, retail, manufacturing, entertainment, apparel, finance, media and the healthcare industries. She recently acted as counsel for Chinese clients in high-profile antitrust civil class actions and multiple US Department of Justice investigation matters involving, among other key sectors, the automotive parts and technology industries.

Prior to joining Hughes Hubbard & Reed, Ho was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis and an equity partner at Latham & Watkins.
