Saurya Bhattacharya has joined HSA Advocates as a partner, bringing a wide spectrum of M&A and general corporate advisory experience.
Bhattacharya joins from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, where he was a partner. He advises Indian and foreign entities on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, as well as advisory matters, with significant focus across industry sectors including education, food and agriculture, consumer, healthcare and pharma.

While Bhattacharya will be based out of HSA’s Mumbai office, he will have additional charge of leading the firm’s corporate practice in its Kolkata office, leveraging his existing experience in Kolkata and associated markets.
HSA managing partner Hemant Sahai noted: “In addition to his pureplay transactional and advisory practice, Saurya will add an important dimension to and anchor some of our existing and upcoming strategic initiatives centred around specific industry sectors and select international jurisdictions.”
