Harneys has appointed its finance lawyer and global head of the banking and finance and corporate groups, Paul Sephton, as the managing partner of the Hong Kong office.
Meanwhile, the firm’s Asia managing partner in Hong Kong Ian Mann stepped down after leading the office since 2018 and will continue to focus on his practice as a partner in the litigation, insolvency and restructuring team.
Sephton, who joined the firm in 2016, specialises in debt finance and advises on a range of financial products, including leveraged finance, margin lending, acquisition finance, pre-IPO finance, take-private transactions, bond issuances, convertible instruments, derivative transactions, property finance, and syndicated lending. He represents leading onshore law firms, major international financial institutions, and listed and private companies.
