Harish Narasappa, the co-founder of Samvad Partners, will be stepping down as a partner and completing his transition from the firm by 31 March.

This development comes as Narasappa has been designated as a senior advocate by the Karnataka High Court. He specialises in legal matters related to general corporate law, cross-border M&A, private equity, venture capital, banking, corporate financing, dispute resolution and commercial real estate.

“As a senior advocate, I will be focusing more on dispute resolution and policy work, and less on corporate transactions as compared to what I was doing at Samvad,” Narasappa told India Business Law Journal. “Also, I will not have any organisational responsibilities, as senior advocates are essentially independent practitioners.”

In his new position, Narasappa is looking forward to being more involved in policy work and public law-related litigation, in addition to working on matters regarding commercial dispute resolution.

“It has been a great journey with Harish, and we will all miss him,” said Vineetha MG, a partner at Samvad Partners. “We will continue to interact with him on a personal and professional basis in the years to come. We wish him all the very best as he starts his new journey.”
