Dear Madam,
The events of the last week of November have been truly traumatic and have affected Mumbai in a way not known in the past.
The city has withstood many calamities before, notably the March 1993 serial bomb blasts, the July 2005 floods and the train bombings of July 2006. However, this time it is qualitatively different. We had a taste of urban guerilla warfare.
The sense of security of everybody has been shattered and people are feeling very vulnerable. This feeling is not confined to any one section of our society but runs across all strata.
