Eversheds Sutherland recently appointed Cedric Lam as a partner on the corporate team in Hong Kong’s office and head of intellectual property in the Greater China region.
Lam is an intellectual property specialist, advising multinational corporations in acquiring and maintaining IP rights and implementing IP protection and licensing strategies, as well as counselling private equity and venture capital firms on IP investments in Greater China.
“We are seeing growing interest from PE and VC firms, wanting to invest in companies with technological and other innovations in the [Greater China] region,” said Lam. He also sees the escalating trade tension between the US and China contributing to the growing demand for IP services in Asia.
