Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in June announced that it had acquired RelQ Software Private, a Bangalore based software testing company.
RelQ will be fully integrated into EDS’ global testing organization and will enhance EDS’ global testing capabilities through low cost, high quality applications testing, validation and verification, and quality assurance services.
RelQ has more than 700 employees in India, the United Kingdom, the United States and France.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The expansion would take EDS’ total India workforce to more than 20,000.
RelQ retained UBS Investment Bank as its exclusive financial adviser on the transaction. Majmudar & Co’s Mumbai office acted as legal advisers to EDS.
