Dua, CAM and SAM advise on Fourth Partner fundraise

Dua Associates, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advise Fourth Partner fundraise

Dua Associates advised Fourth Partner Energy when it recently raised USD125 million in equity funding from Norway’s development finance institution, Norfund, and an existing shareholder, The Rise Fund, which is one of seven PE funds operated by TPG.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Norfund, while Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised TPG. The deal was signed on 30 June.

CAM’s team comprised: Partners Shagoofa Rashid Khan, Surya Sreenivasan and Amarta Roy, and senior associate-designate Mansi Dua (transaction); partners Surya Sreenivasan and Danish Kazi, principal associate Kamalika Bhattacharjee, senior associate-designate Mansi Dua, senior associate Deepti Bajpai and associates Neha Pilay, Varsha Koshy and Swaha Sinha (due diligence); and partners Richa Mohanty Roy and Ankita Ray, senior associate Ankita Sharma and associate Faiza Khan (employment).

Dua Associates’ team was led by partner Manoj Menon, and included principal associate Sharan Balasubramanian and associate Nirmal John.

In April, Hyderabad-based Fourth Partner Energy had received INR2.5 billion (USD33.5 million) from CDC Group, the UK’s development finance institution.
