DLA Piper hires new banking partner in Hong Kong

DLA Piper has hired banking lawyer Trinh Hoang, a former Linklaters managing associate in Hong Kong for more than two years, as a partner in the city, working in its Asia finance, projects and restructuring practice.

Hoang is experienced in special situation financing, restructuring debt facilities, structured finance, acquisition finance and corporate loans. Her clients include Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Bank of America. She is qualified in the UK and a native Vietnamese speaker.

“We are deeply committed to developing our finance, projects and restructuring offerings in Asia, which is evidenced by the fact we have made five lateral partner hires across the region during the past five years,” said David Trott, DLA Piper’s partner and international group head of finance, projects and restructuring in the London.

In the past 12 months, the firm has hired banking and finance lawyer CrystalChen and senior energy lawyer Russell Wilkinson in Hong Kong.
