Devika Chadha, former assistant vice president of legal at ReNew Power, has joined renewable power solutions company Sunsure Energy as general counsel.
Chadha, who has 14 years of experience, played a key role at ReNew, overseeing the M&A department and led growth strategies, spearheading M&A activities, joint venture initiatives, and the development of new business ventures
As general counsel at Sunsure Energy, she will lead the legal, secretarial and compliance functions, making her an integral part of the organisation’s leadership team.
Speaking to India Business Law Journal, Chadha said, “Sunsure Energy has been built on strong values and has deep-rooted technical strengths, which make it a key player in the renewable energy sector. The sector has seen immense growth over the last 10-12 years, and will continue to see growth and consolidation over the coming years.
“My prior experience in the sector, interactions with the founder and the senior leadership team backed by the solid foundation rooted by the Partners Group in Switzerland [a majority stakeholder in Sunsure Energy], made it an obvious choice for me to come on board.”
Sunsure Energy is a renewable power company focusing on providing wind and solar power solutions to commercial and industrial clients in India.
Before Chadha’s role at ReNew, she worked at DSK Legal, Phoenix Legal and HSA Advocates.
