Corporate counsel Ankit Jaiswal has taken over as the head of legal and compliance for the SEA region at CarDekho Southeast Asia.
“I look forward to navigating the dynamic legal landscape, driving strategic initiatives, legal compliance and corporate governance to foster the continued success of the organisation in the vibrant Southeast Asian market,” said Jaiswal, who was previously head of the legal team at India’s leading fintech Saas platform ClearTax.
Jaiswal is a seasoned corporate counsel who specialises in strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, fintech and digital, private equity, joint ventures, capital raising, and initial public offerings. He also navigates corporate commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, litigation, IP, data protection and ESG matters.
With expertise in general corporate matters, cross-border transactions, and compliance with regulatory frameworks, he has worked on structuring new businesses in domestic and international jurisdictions. His experience extends to collaborating with tech giants such as Amazon and Paytm, providing legal counsel on M&A and investment transactions.
Jaiswal has previously worked at AZB & Partners, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, and L&L Partners.
