Mehta joins from Desai & Diwanji, where she was a partner. She has more than 16 years of experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital investments, joint ventures and general corporate advisory matters.

The GIFT City office is led by managing partner Cyril Shroff along with partner and chair of finance, banking and insolvency, L Viswanathan, and partner and head of the Ahmedabad practice, Paridhi Adani.

Mehta graduated from Government Law College in Mumbai in 2005.

CAM opened the GIFT City office in May 2021, following receiving approval by the International Financial Services Centre and Gift City authorities. The purpose of the office is to assist companies in GIFT City to navigate its legal and regulatory framework.

GIFT City houses financial services and IT and information technology-enabled services companies, and offers proactive rules, a competitive tax regime and a simpler legal system.
