Indian law firm Platinum Partners has expanded its practice with the appointment of Gautam Bhat to its partnership. Bhat is the firm’s second partner in Mumbai. He joins from Thakker & Thakker where he was also a partner. The new hire takes Platinum’s Mumbai headcount to nine lawyers, with founding partner Nihar Mody – who previously worked with Wadia Ghandy & Co and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer – and seven associates making up the rest of the team.
