AZB & Partners was Indian legal counsel to Blackstone Capital Partners when it signed an agreement with EQT Private Equity and the Swiss-based Kuoni and Hugentobler Foundation to acquire a majority stake in visa outsourcing provider VFS Global, including its Indian subsidiaries.
Kirkland & Ellis also advised Blackstone on the deal, which was valued in excess of USD100 million and announced on 7 October, with closure expected in the first quarter of 2022.
