K&L Gates has hired aviation finance lawyer Eugene Yeung as a partner to its finance practice in Hong Kong. Yeung joined from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, where he was counsel in the finance department.
Yeung is qualified in Hong Kong, Australia, New York, England and Wales, and focuses on aviation finance, restructuring and insolvency in Asia. A qualified accountant and chartered financial analyst, Yeung has regularly acted for financial lenders, aircraft owners, airlines, and ultra-high net worth individuals on a broad range of transactions within the aviation sector.
K&L Gates’ managing partner for Asia in Hong Kong, David Tang, said Yeung would complement the firm’s aviation finance team’s capabilities and boost its growing restructuring practice in Hong Kong and the region.
