Alpha Partners plans to hire two or three lawyers to staff its office in Bengaluru, which opened last month. Arvind Moorchung, a senior consultant who joined the firm in March, heads the firm in the city.
“Bengaluru has been part of our business plan for long,” says Akshat Pande, the founder and managing partner of the firm. “As we serve a number of startups, technology companies and represent clients on venture capital and private equity transactions, Bengaluru was a natural extension,” he told India Business Law Journal. “Additionally, we were drawn by [the city’s] expanding real estate market.”
The office, located in UB City, will offer advice on business and company setup; corporate M&A, private equity and venture capital; employment law; real estate and infrastructure; start-ups and early stage companies; and litigation and dispute resolution.
