Vikram Raj has joined Alpha Partners as a partner in Bengaluru, and will head its food and retail (regulatory and litigation) practice. Raj joins from Farm to Fork Solutions, where he was head of legal.
At Alpha, Raj will advise clients in the food and retail industry for advertising and claims made, labelling and packaging, trademark and copyright, product safety and standards, design and manufacturing. He will also represent companies on matters such as product withdrawals and recalls, rebates, gift cards and promotions, consumer privacy, regulatory litigation and consumer litigation, and drafting of commercial contracts.
Raj has advised companies on compliance, setting up retail outlets for large retail chains, franchises and food companies, as well as trademark filing and prosecution.
He has more than 16 years of experience working as a consultant as well as in-house counsel at prominent fast-moving consumer goods and retail companies such as Godrej, Wipro, Marico and Avenue Supermarts (D Mart).
He started his career with Nishith Desai Associates and is a 2005 graduate from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru.
