The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Australia plan to host its 29th In-house Legal National Conference and Awards at the National Convention Centre in Canberra on 29-31 October, which brings together the nation’s in-house community.

ACC Australia’s flagship event will be the largest gathering of in-house lawyers in the southern hemisphere and will include informative sessions, inspiring keynote speakers, and opportunities for socialising and networking. Attendees will have ample opportunities to connect with peers, industry leaders and leading suppliers, while celebrating the accomplishments of the in-house community.

“This largest gathering of in-house lawyers in the southern hemisphere also allows in-house lawyers, to meet others in similar fields and to network throughout the day,” said Ingrid Segota, the executive director of ACC Australia. “In the evenings, there are social functions where everyone is encouraged to connect with peers in a more relaxed, social basis: the welcome function, Australian Corporate Lawyer Awards and gala dinner, and the post conference drinks events.”

Through this annual event, ACC Australia gives in-house counsel the opportunity to learn new skills, fulfill professional development requirements, and discover new products all focused on them.

Attendees will be offered relevant, focused, exciting and informative keynote speakers; interactive education sessions with industry leading peers, which are topical, creative, practical, informative, relevant and engaging; exhibitions to catch up with leading suppliers with in-house solutions; and optional masterclasses, immediately preceding the conference.

The Australian Corporate Lawyer Awards and Gala Dinner will be held on the evening of 30 October at the spectacular Hotel Realm, where the ACC Australia honours the Lawyer of the Year in 10 categories: Environment, social and governance excellence; government; new to in-house; not-for-profit; sole legal officer of the year; legal innovator of the year; small legal team and large legal team of the year; in-house lawyer of the year; and general counsel of the year.
