AKSET co-founder opens new firm, inks Mori Hamada alliance

Former founding partner of Indonesian firm AKSET Law, Abadi Abi Tisnadisastra, has set up ATD Law in Jakarta and established an alliance with Japanese law firm Mori Hamada & Matsumoto.

Tisnadisastra, who is the managing partner at ATD, also brought former AKSET Law partner, Alfa Dewi Setiawati, to his new firm.

Tisnadisastra has more than 20 years of experience in M&A, corporate, finance, telecommunications and technology for local and international clients.

He has been involved in numerous cross-border acquisitions and investments in various industries including banking, financial services, manufacturing, information technology, e-commerce, and fintech. He also counsels clients on data protection and privacy, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency.

In 2010, Tisnadisastra founded AKSET Law in Jakarta with other managing partners Arfidea Saraswati, Mohamad Kadri, and Johannes C Sahetapy-Engel. Kadri has been a senior partner of Guido Hidayanto & Partners since 2020 and the rest are still at AKSET Law.

Previously in 2016, Mori Hamada & Matsumoto established a Jakarta desk in AKSET Law’s office. Tetsu Takeuchi, Mori Hamada & Matsumoto’s partner in Singapore, will be based in Jakarta to support the new collaboration, which will take effect in January next year.
