IT software company 3i Infotech has generated US$66 million through a private placement of equity shares to qualified institutional buyers in India and other institutional investors outside India.
Skadden represented global coordinator and book-running lead manager UBS Securities India, and was the sole international counsel on the transaction. The deal closed on 25 September.
The Skadden team included Jonathan Stone, Rajeev Duggal and Jack Nguyen in Hong Kong and Singapore. AZB & Partners acted as domestic legal adviser to UBS, while Amarchand Mangaldas served as legal adviser to 3i Infotech.
