Three partners to boost Global’s Shanghai, Shenzhen offices

Global Law Office has hired Lucy Luo and Wendy Wu as partners to work in Shanghai, while partner Huang Zhen will be in the Shenzhen office, to strengthen foreign-related business, intellectual property and the dispute resolution sectors.

Luo, who has more than 20 years of experience, has practised in the Shanghai representative office of Garrigues and Zhong Lun Law Firm, and served as the legal counsel of eBay China. She has expertise in foreign investment, M&A, and private equity investment, focusing on assisting European clients’ business in China and Chinese corporates’ investment in Europe and Latin America. Her clients include Mango China, Shanghai Bank, FillMed, Telefónica, BBVA, La Liga, etc.

Wu focuses on IP protection and litigation, and outbound investment, especially in handling matters related to commercial secrets, logos, copyright, patents, and unfair competition. She has completed due diligence and commercial negotiation with complex affiliations for cross-border transactions and has clients in foodstuffs, medicines, semiconductors, chemicals, cars, AI, etc.

Wu practised at Baker McKenzie FenXun, served as a partner at Yuanda China Law Firm and was its IP team leader, and worked at McDermott Will & Emery overseas.

Huang focuses on commercial dispute resolution, construction, debt restructuring, company insolvency and liquidation, and M&A financing. He has participated in various financing and securities cases related to equity repurchases, securities misrepresentation, stock pledges, fund tort disputes, etc. He provided services to companies including First Capital, Orient Securities and several subsidiaries of the China General Nuclear Power Group. Huang previously practised at Grandall Law Firm.
