Manu Varghese and Prashaant Vikram Rajput have joined disputes firm White and Brief as partners, expanding the practice areas it serves.
Varghese, a former partner from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM), brings on board his experience in the general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital practice areas.
Rajput is a former associate partner from Link Legal India Law Services and his practice areas are capital markets, banking and finance, corporate restructuring, and alternative investment funds.
The firm hired associate partner Bhagyashree Lembhe in February 2020, who joined from IndusLaw with a focus on insolvency, bankruptcy and dispute resolution.
“Within a short period, we’ve grown to a strength of three partners at the leadership level,” said Nilesh Tribhuvann, White and Brief’s founder and managing partner. “I’m happy to have a team that brings a fresh perspective and is aligned to my growth vision.”
Tribhuvann previously worked for the late senior counsel, Ram Jethmalani. He is also the legal cell president of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s youth wing in Maharashtra state.
Varghese had been with CAM since 2017, and has over a decade of experience. He has advised some of India’s largest conglomerates, multinational companies and private equity players in sectors including e-commerce, retail, cement, financial services, equipment manufacturing, renewable energy and information technology.
Rajput specializes in matters related to domestic and international capital markets, banking and finance, private equity, corporate restructuring and alternative investment funds.
Lembhe has also previously worked with HSA Advocates and CAM. She regularly appears before the Bombay High Court and the National Company Law Tribunal.
The firm has two offices in Mumbai, and 25 non-partner lawyers and other staff.
