Partners start new firm
Seven partners have left Krishnamurthy & Co and started a new firm, Anoma Legal, establishing offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, with a total of 25 members. The firm does not have a managing partner, and the seven partners are designated as co-founding partners.
Krishna Venkat, Kumar Abhishek Singh, Sankar Swamy, Sanket Sethia and Sharad Joshi work out of the Mumbai office, while Nilesh Chandra works out of Delhi and Abhinav Singh works in the Bengaluru office. The firm specializes in venture capital and private equity funding, banking and finance, M&A, joint ventures, infrastructure projects and real estate.
SPB hires India director
Squire Patton Boggs has appointed Nimi Patel as a director in its India practice in London. Patel has experience in the UK in cross-border M&A, joint ventures, securities, capital markets and other corporate finance work.
She was the former head of India practice at Herbert Smith Freehills. Patel has assisted Indian companies, public sector undertakings and financial institutions in a variety of transactions, and advised on strategic, regulatory and other business issues.
