Yulchon has deepened its intellectual property and technology practice bench with the hire of new partner Chunghwan Choi, who is known as one of South Korea’s top media and entertainment industry lawyers, in Seoul.

With a career spanning close to 40 years, Choi was previously a partner at Lee & Ko leading the firm’s media and entertainment practice group while co-heading its global practice group. He has, over the years, advised a global clientele of film, TV and music companies including Walt Disney, Warner Bros, Sony Music and NBC Universal, on matters spanning film, television, media, music, sports and the art business.
Outside of his legal practice, Choi has also been actively involved in various professional organisations, having held leadership positions including serving as president of the International Association of Korean Lawyers and the Law Association of Asia and the Pacific, as well as chair of the Asia-Pacific Committee of the American Bar Association.
