WongPartnership launches WPG regional network

WongPartnership has celebrated its silver anniversary with the official launch of WPG, a new regional law network.

WongPartnership brought together a group of five prominent law firms across seven countries in a collaboration to provide clients with legal services in ASEAN, China and the Middle East.

The WPG law network comprises WongPartnership and its member firms: Foong & Partners (Malaysia), Makes & Partners (Indonesia), Zambrano Gruba Caganda & Advincula (Philippines), and Al Aidarous International Legal Practice (Middle East).

“The WPG regional law network provides clients with access to legal services in ASEAN, China and the Middle East,” said Ng Wai-king, managing partner at WongPartnership.

“Looking ahead, 2017 also marks an exciting turning point for us as we embark on new interesting ventures and initiatives. As part of the firm’s legal technology vision, WongPartnership has taken the lead in Singapore to deploy artificial intelligence and document automation technology to enhance due diligence processes and deliver greater efficiency. We are also introducing WPGrow Ventures as an initiative to support the start-up ecosystem in Singapore.”

Headquartered in Singapore, and in addition to the WPG network, WongPartnership also has lawyers and offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Yangon.

The firm has a twin focus on advisory/transactional work where it has been involved in landmark corporate transactions, as well as complex and high-profile litigation and arbitration matters.

“As we celebrate our Silver Jubilee, WongPartnership renews our commitment towards building a winning partnership with all stakeholders for the next 25 years and more to come,” said Alvin Yeo, senior counsel, chairman and senior partner at WongPartnership.
