Withers KhattarWong hires disputes expert plus team

Withers KhattarWong, the Singapore office of international law firm Withers, has appointed dispute resolution expert Chenthil Kumarasingam as a partner, strengthening the firm’s litigation and arbitration offering.

Kumarasingam joins from Oon and Bazul with a team of three associates – Johnson Lim Chong-hian, Adeline Goh and Aaron Wong – on the back of increasing demand for dispute resolution services in Asia.

Kumarasingam is well versed in commercial disputes across industries including banking, financial services, mining and aviation. He has acted in matters relating to cross-border investment and joint venture disputes, company and shareholder disputes, banking and securities claims, insolvency, commercial fraud, employment, professional disciplinary matters and white-collar criminal matters.

He has also appeared as lead counsel in the Singapore Court of Appeal and High Court, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations.

Before joining Oon and Bazul, Kumarasingam practised at Quahe Woo & Palmer as a director.
