Wintell & Co has established a Nanning office to bolster its footprint in China’s southwest region and Southeast Asia, marking the second branch after Shenzhen and follows the firm’s merger with Gongcheng in October 2023.
Heading the Nanning office is senior partner Luo Chaofu, formerly a senior partner and executive director of Alshine Law Firm. With a team comprising 30 professionals proficient in English and Southeast Asian languages, the Nanning office will offer services in areas including non-performing asset disposal, corporate compliance, corporate legal counsel, civil and commercial dispute resolution and arbitration.
Nanning is the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In August 2019, the State Council designated Guangxi as one of the six new Pilot Free Trade Zones, aiming to advance the development of the China and Asean Free Trade Area and the Belt and Road Initiative.
As of July 2023, the combined value of foreign trade imports and exports in the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone was RMB858 billion (USD120 billion), with foreign investment reaching RMB1.48 billion.
