Stephenson Harwood has hired former private wealth lawyer Suzanne Johnston as a partner in its Singapore office. Johnston joined from UBS where she was director and senior legal counsel of wealth planning in Singapore since 2019.
Johnston specialises in international tax and wealth planning, with a focus on advising high net worth individuals, professional trustees, family offices and private banks based in the UK and Asia. Prior to UBS, she was a senior associate at Withersworldwide for five years in Singapore.
Martin Green, Singapore office managing partner of Stephenson Harwood, said an influx of family offices relocating to Singapore in recent years had led to a growing demand for the type of private wealth expertise that Johnston possessed.
