Australian corporate law firm Thomson Geer recently hired Scott Gibson, Marc Wilshaw, Hedley Roost and Michael Ng to join its Perth office in September. The partners are corporate and M&A specialists.

They will be supported by special counsel Cameron Bill and an eight-strong team of junior lawyers and paralegals. All were previously with DLA Piper’s corporate practice.

“Not only is this move central and fundamental to our long-term Perth strategy, but it is also a reinforcement of our national commitment to quality,” said Thomson Geers’s chief executive partner, Adrian Tembel.

“I am very proud of our M&A team nationally, led by David Zwi on the east coast. Adding this west coast group will take our national capability to, I believe, an even higher level.”

The new partners join the existing nine partners and 33 staff in the firm’s Perth office. The firm also recently acquired the entire multidisciplinary team of lawyers from global law firm Dentons’ Brisbane Office in July, including real estate partner and head of office, Matthew Rollason.
