Suraphon Rittipongponchusit, a former partner and Bangkok head at the insurance law firm Kennedys, which was closed in late October, has moved to Thai law firm Siam Premier as a senior consultant in its insurance and dispute resolution practice.
Rittipongponchusit also brought his team from Kennedys, comprising special counsel Tassanu Chutikanon, and associates Sukollapak Klungmontri and Niti Wanichworranan.
With more than 40 years of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, Rittipongponchusit’s expertise covers contentious insurance claims and subrogation claims, bankruptcy and restructuring-related proceedings, construction and shareholders’ disputes.
Rittipongponchusit, who previously led DLA Piper (Thailand), has advised on complicated matters of Thai insurance law, especially those relating to highly complex claims.
Chutikanon was a special counsel at Kennedys and specialised in corporate and commercial, disputes, M&A, insurance, and tax. He has extensive experience in insurance matters, having advised clients in the healthcare sector on malpractice claims and the aviation industry in regard to subrogation claims.
