S&R Associates has promoted six lawyers, with counsel Swapneil Akut, and associates Raya Hazarika and Pratichi Mishra becoming retained partners, while Akshat Kulshrestha, Kinnari Sanghvi and Prateek Sharma are now counsel.
Akut’s practice focuses on investment funds and capital markets. He advises issuers, sponsors, managers, limited partners and investment banks on structuring and fundraising for various investment vehicles, including alternative investment funds, infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs) and real estate investment trusts (REITs).
Hazarika deals with the corporate practice, covering mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, foreign investment, corporate governance and general matters. He also has experience in the telecommunications, e-commerce and technology sectors.
Capital markets, corporate governance, regulatory and general corporate matters are the practice areas Mishra covers.
She has represented issuers, investment banks and investors on a variety of equity, business trust and
debt transactions, including public offerings, private placements, InvIT and REIT transactions, rights issues, preferential allotments, institutional placements, debt offerings and block trades.
This year she has been elected as a member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s Hybrid Securities Advisory Committee.
While Akut, and Mishra will be based out of the firm’s Mumbai office, the others will work from the New Delhi office.
S&R Associates has around 110 lawyers, including 33 partners and counsel.
