Khaitan & Co has roped in JSA partner Sahil Shah as counsel in the investment funds practice group and will be based in Mumbai. During his association with JSA which lasted nearly seven years, Shah joined the firm as a principal associate and was then promoted to counsel and partner.
With more than 16 years of experience, Shah assists Indian and global fund managers to establish alternate investment funds (AIF) in India, and also advises Indian and foreign institutional investors with investments in Indian AIFs. He also focuses on venture capital and private equity transactions.
He specialises in investment funds, private equity, venture capital and real estate transactions. He had been a senior associate at Nishith Desai Associates.
