In a multi-billion dollar scheme, Reliance Industries announced plans to expand its domestic natural gas production. Reliance plans to invest US$5.2 billion on production at two fields in the Krishna Godavari basin.
“The company will begin producing 40m cubic metres per day by June 2008 and raise it to peak output of 80m cubic metres in the next five months,” said PMS Prasad, chief of the company’s oil and gas arm.
