Cooke is an international arbitration barrister with 20 years of experience representing clients in Vietnam, Indonesia, China, India, Malaysia, Myanmar and elsewhere in Asia. In 2018, he wrote a book providing an analytical commentary on his field titled International Arbitration in Singapore: Legislation and Materials.

He has handled cases under the rules of major institutions such as the International Court of Arbitration, the London Court of International Arbitration, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, and the UN Commission on International Trade Law.

Kyri Evagora, Reed Smith’s Asia-Pacific managing partner, said the new hires align with the firm’s growth plans for Asia. “One of the firm’s key industries is energy and natural resources, a field in which Tim has much experience, so this will serve our clients well.”
