Rahul Chatterji has joined Linklaters as a partner to strengthen its Asia banking practice, particularly its leveraged finance capabilities.
Chatterji was previously a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s London office, where he advised lenders and borrowers on complex cross-border financing transactions.
With a strong track record in offshore Indian transactions, he will focus on the rapidly growing leveraged finance market in India and Southeast Asia, working closely with the firm’s established teams in Singapore and London.
His skills and expertise will also complement the firm’s strong cross-practice offering in Asia across the capital markets, restructuring and insolvency, energy and infrastructure, and dispute resolution practices, as well as the team’s existing relationships with financial investors.
Chatterji will join Linklaters in May 2023 and initially be based in London before relocating to Singapore later in the year.
