Aditya Prakash Rao, a partner at PLR Chambers, and Dhruv Paul, a senior associate at English firm Watson Farley & Williams, have joined hands to develop the legal recruitment startup RecruVia. RecruVia is currently in beta mode and plans to initiate an early stage funding round soon.
The unique feature of the platform is that it only shows applicants jobs they are suited for. Prospective applicants are invisible to fellow applicants and employers until they make an application.
Paul told India Business Law Journal he identified an opportunity by observing the behaviour of other legal recruitment consultants. “The recruiter cold calls you at an unsuitable time. They ask for your salary and notice period, but don’t tell you what the job is. Once you send a headhunter your résumé, they start spraying it around the market.”
