Vasanth Rajasekaran, former equity partner at Phoenix Legal has established independent litigation practice Trinity Chambers, with his colleagues Saurabh Babulkar and Harshavardhan Korada.
Trinity Chambers founder Rajasekaran served as a partner for five years at Phoenix Legal.
Senior associate Babulkar and associate Korada will be designated as the deputy head and counsel at the chambers, respectively.
“I have been an accomplished arguing counsel for more than two decades and have set up Trinity Chambers as a specialised disputes chamber to focus on a hardcore disputes practice spanning across sectors,” he told India Business Law Journal.
“We want to create micro specialities within the chamber and give opportunities to all our counsels to develop their expertise in newer avenues of litigation as the areas of business evolve,” he added.
Trinity Chambers will cover the entire gamut of litigation ranging from corporate commercial, general, insolvency, white collar, the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA), to economic and criminal offences.
“Apart from litigation we are also heavily focused on international and domestic commercial arbitration, forensic investigation, mediation and pre-dispute advisory,” Rajasekaran said.
He added, “With the above areas of litigation, we cover extensive ground but we keep a hawkeye on the cross-sectoral developments [in sectors] to anticipate potential areas of dispute where our services could be deployed.”
Having almost two decades of experience, Rajasekaran has represented many Fortune 100 companies as well as domestic clients across full range of disputes including high stakes arbitrations, enforcement and execution of both domestic and foreign awards, insolvency litigations, contempt proceedings, anti-trust litigation, criminal litigation including securing bail and defending the prosecution proceedings launched by various law enforcement agencies including the Enforcement Directorate, Delhi Police and Maharashtra Police etc.
