On 8 February, Chris Parsons, a partner and chairman of the India practice at Herbert Smith Freehills, completed a charity walk to raise money for the Loomba Foundation, which supports Indian widows and their children. The foundation provides widows with sewing machines and training on how to make clothes.
Parsons also planned the walk to celebrate his 30th anniversary at Herbert Smith Freehills. He walked 30 marathons in 30 days – a total of 1,260 kilometres – from Mumbai to Bangalore.
