Real estate partner at HSA
HSA Advocates has hired Amaresh Kumar Singh as a partner at the firm’s New Delhi office. Prior to joining HSA, Singh worked at L&L Partners. He has more than 25 years of experience in real estate, and his practice primarily focuses on the sector, along with civil and commercial litigation.
Singh has advised private equity funds, real estate developers, financial institutions, overseas funds and government funds. He has in-depth knowledge about statutory enactments, and rules and regulations governing each state, and has assisted clients with title verification and due diligence of land and properties around the country.
SAM lawyer goes solo
Abhishek Garg, a lawyer from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM), has founded his own firm, AGS Law, with three lawyers. Garg is a dual-qualified lawyer and chartered accountant with more than five years of experience working with prominent law firms including SAM, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, and Advaita Legal.
The key practice areas for the new firm are taxation, insolvency and bankruptcy, dispute resolution and general corporate laws. Garg regularly appears before the National Company Law Tribunal, the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal and the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, as well as the Supreme Court and high courts.
