Disputes partner joins IndusLaw

IndusLaw has hired Mayank Mishra as a partner in its Delhi office. Mishra joins from J Sagar Associates‘ dispute practice, where he was a partner and has more than 15 years of experience. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial litigation, and he has experience in handling shareholders’ disputes, minority/protection actions, contract enforcement, insolvency and bankruptcy disputes.

He also advises clients on contentious issues relating to environmental law. He frequently appears before the National Company Law Tribunal, the Appellate Tribunal, the National Green Tribunal and the Supreme Court and high courts.

DSK recruits projects partner

DSK Legal has hired Dinesh Pardasani as a partner, along with his team comprising senior associate Shantanu Singh, and associates Aishwary Kumar Tiwari and Kanupriya Mehndiratta.

Pardasani joins from Link Legal and will work in the New Delhi office. He has advised on five out of the six metro rail projects in India developed using the public-private partnership model. He also has experience advising on water, waste management, renewable energy and smart cities.

New Hyderabad partner at JSA

J Sagar Associates (JSA) hired Rajeev Reddy as a partner in the firm’s Hyderabad office on 1 April. Reddy joins from Tatva Legal, where he has worked since 2010. He has more than 16 years of experience in the field of corporate and commercial laws.

Reddy focuses on structuring, due diligence, documentation, negotiation and advice in sectors such as infrastructure, information technology, pharmaceuticals, dairy products, retail, education, mining and online gaming.

He has advised companies on transactions such as private equity investments, cross-border investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, joint developments and setting up operations.

Promotion at Kachwaha

Kachwaha & Partners promoted senior associate Tara Shahani to the firm’s partnership on 1 April 2020. Shahani has worked at Kachwaha for more than 10 years.

Over the years, Shahani worked on many high-stakes construction and infrastructure matters. She has been involved in several international commercial arbitrations, court hearings, criminal cases as well as tax matters for the firm. “We believe in organic growth and do not take on partners via the collateral hire route,” said senior partner Sumeet Kachwaha.

New partner at Link Legal

Link Legal has hired Jimit Shah as an associate partner in the firm’s capital markets practice in Mumbai. Shah has more than 14 years of experience in capital markets, securities laws and general corporate advisory practice.

Over the years, he has worked on several domestic and international equity and debt transactions for private and public sector undertakings. Prior to joining Link Legal, Shah was running his own firm, JPS Legal, in Mumbai. Shah has also previously worked with Crawford Bayley & Co and Dave & Girish & Co.
