CAM to lose partner

The head of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas’ investigations practice and partner, Kunal Gupta, will be joining Trilegal later in the year. Gupta will work as a partner in Trilegal’s white-collar crime investigations practice in New Delhi.

Gupta specializes in handling complex investigations involving corporate fraud and regulatory issues pertaining to the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act and Indian Prevention of Corruption Act, among other legislation. He has worked with several global regulators such as the US Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice, Asian Development Bank, the UK’s Serious Fraud Office and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in conducting large global investigations.

In the past, Gupta worked at Grant Thornton, PwC, World Bank and L&L Partners.

S&R promotes 2 partners

S&R Associates has promoted Shivaji Bhattacharya and Prachi Goel as partners. Bhattacharya joined the firm in 2010 and works in the New Delhi office. His practice covers M&A, joint ventures, foreign investment, regulatory and general corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm, Bhattacharya previously worked with Coal India.

Goel joined the firm in 2017 and works in the Mumbai office. Her practice covers M&A, private equity, restructuring, regulatory and general corporate matters, and she has significant experience in the financial services sector.
