Bidhuri will be based in Mumbai and oversee SIAC’s liaison offices in Mumbai and GIFT City, Gujarat. “[My role involves] promoting institutional arbitration tools and to encourage parties to adopt SIAC for effective resolution of disputes,” she told India Business Law Journal. “But there are many more responsibilities that come along with the role.”

Bidhuri previously worked in the dispute resolution practice of DMD Advocates in New Delhi for nine years and focused on investment treaty arbitration and commercial litigation cases.

“Her investment arbitration experience brings a unique perspective to her role,” said SIAC CEO Lim Seok Hui. “[She] will further enhance our relationships with our valued Indian users as we continue to expand our outreach within the Indian market.”

Indian parties have been among the top three users of SIAC’s services in the past five years. Energy, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and trade-related matters have been some of the main areas arbitrated by SIAC subscripton ad blue 2022
