Berwin Leighton Paisner has recruited India specialist Azmul Haque as a senior associate in its Singapore office.

Haque moves from the Singaporean law firm WongPartnership, where he was a key member of the India practice group and handled a range of India-related inbound and outbound transactions. He worked in Mumbai with a leading Indian law firm for many years before moving to Singapore in early 2005.

Haque‘s clients have included large Singaporean and multinational companies doing business in India in a number of industries including real estate, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, retail, technology, agribusiness, oil and gas, and airports. He is dual-qualified as an English solicitor and an Indian advocate, and is fluent in Hindi and Bengali.
