CMS Singapore has appointed Daniel Tan as the director of its banking and finance practice.
Tan joined from Clifford Chance, where he was leading the firm’s Singapore law finance practice. He has more than 15 years of experience advising on financing transactions including general syndicated lending, acquisition and leveraged finance, trade finance, project finance, and capital markets transactions.
Tan’s role will further strengthen CMS’ regional finance offering. “His experience further strengthens the firm’s capabilities in this key area, particularly as debt remains a critical component for businesses in the region to achieve their growth aspirations,” said Caryn Miller, a joint managing director for Asia and the Middle East of CMS.
The managing partner of CMS Singapore, Toby Grainger, said the new appointment “will also add to our technology, construction, energy and infrastructure practices, which are key areas for us in Singapore, as well as the wider region, particularly within Southeast Asia, where stimulus packages and fund deployments are resulting in continued infrastructure growth”.
